Alberta
The program offers two funding tiers: a standard rate for existing employees, and a higher rate for unemployed individuals being brought on as new hires. With continuous intake and no application deadline, Alberta employers can access this funding year-round as training needs arise.
Eligible Costs
- Tuition and fees charged by the training provider
- Examination fees linked to the training course
- Textbooks, software, and other required training materials
- Travel costs: for employers with fewer than 50 employees, or employers with 50–499 employees located outside Edmonton and Calgary
Eligible Applicants
- Must be operational in Alberta for at least one year
- Must have an “active” legal entity status (if applicable)
- Must be in good standing
- Must carry Workers Compensation Benefits (WCB) coverage for trainees
- Must comply with all applicable provincial agreements
