Federal
Canadian employers, you can now access up to $30,000 in funding through the ECO Canada – Youth in Natural Resources Program, delivered in partnership with Natural Resources Canada.
This initiative helps organizations hire young professionals in key natural resource sectors, fostering job creation and supporting the transition to a sustainable economy.
With non-repayable contributions covering up to 75% of eligible costs, this program makes it easier to attract new talent, strengthen sustainability initiatives, and drive innovation across Canada’s natural resource industries, including energy, forestry, mining, and earth sciences.

Who can apply?
The program is open to organizations that create employment opportunities in the natural resources sector, including:
- Canadian-owned or Canadian subsidiary businesses
- Municipal, provincial, and territorial governments
- Indigenous governments and organizations
Eligible Participants
To qualify, youth participants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years old
- Hold Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status
- Priority is given to women, racialized youth, Indigenous youth, persons with disabilities, and individuals living in rural or remote areas
