The Frontiere Program, launched by Investissement Québec, is designed to support Quebec exporters faced with a lack of liquidity due to the imposition of new U.S. tariffs. 

The Frontiere Program is designed to meet the offensive of new tariffs and initiatives for resilient, export-oriented businesses in Quebec. The program is launched by Investissement Québec to help companies maintain operations and liquidity in the short term, and to enable them to adjust their business model or supply chain.

This program is accepting applications on a continuous intake basis, meaning you can apply anytime. We highly recommend you get in touch with us right away to maximize your chances of approval.

Funding Amount

Maximum loan of up to CAD $50,000,000 with a maximum term of 7 years and a capital repayment moratorium of up to 24 months.

Eligible Applicants: The Frontiere Program

Frontiere funding program eligibility:

• Be a manufacturing or primary sector company
• Have generated $3M or more in revenues
• At least 25% of current revenues generated by exports to the U.S.
• Demonstrated profitability over the last two fiscal years

Objectives of the Frontiere Program

Support Quebec exporters faced with a lack of liquidity due to the imposition of new U.S. tariffs.

Eligible Projects

Funding is available for projects as follows:

• For projects over $10 million: companies’ liquidity needs arising from the fact that their exports are subject to U.S. tariffs
• For interventions of $10 million or less: maximum of 25% of sales generated by exports to the U.S. for the last completed fiscal year.
